With over 15 years of experience in counseling and social work, I'm dedicated to helping individuals navigate through life's challenges, changes, and pain to foster growth, peace, and empowerment.

Specializing in trauma, couples counseling, addiction/substance abuse counseling, and family counseling, I am passionate about serving Immigrants/First-Generation Americans, Women of Color, Mental Health for Black Men, BIPOC, and the LGBTQAI+ community. I also work with teens, at-risk youth, sex traffic survivors, and individuals seeking outpatient/court-mandated counseling.

At Guidance of Hope, I focus on a range of issues, including trauma, depression, stress and anger management, self-esteem, relationship/communication issues, anxiety disorders, dual diagnosis disorders, and grief. I offer individual, family, couple, and group therapy services, with a particular emphasis on minority women's issues and coping with race and racism in the workplace. I am committed to recognizing and constructively dealing with systemic racism, sexism, homophobia, and ableism, ensuring that my clinical services are multiculturally competent and inclusive.

My educational background includes a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Bowie State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Women's Studies with a minor in Black Women's Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park. I also hold a certificate in LGBTQ Studies. I hold a certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am also a Board Approve Clinical Supervisor in the State of Maryland.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I believe in the power of hope. As I often say, "The mind that offers us the thought of hopelessness can also offer us the thought of Hope."

Whether through teletherapy or in-person sessions, I provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I invite you to embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth with Guidance of Hope. Together, we can embrace a brighter and more fulfilling future.
